The Israeli company, Makhteshim-Agan Industries
Ltd, has acquired the sunflower herbicide flurochloridone from
Syngenta AG for $10 million. The main market for flurochloridone
is Western Europe, in particular France, where it is sold as
Racer. Sales of flurochloridone in 2001 were over $12 million
and the forecast for 2003 is $12-$15 million..
