DuPont Canada Agricultural Products redefines performance in wheat with the launch of K2 (TM) herbicide

www.dupont.ca

DuPont Canada Agricultural Products announces the launch of K2 - a new herbicide for one-pass control of tough grass and broadleaf weeds in western Canadian wheat.

Active ingredients are flucarbazone-sodium (as in Everest) plus thifensulfuron methyl and tribenuron (as in Refine Extra). All three are group 2 herbicides and come in a Toss-N-GoĻ package. The label requires the addition of 2,4-D for enhanced broadleaf control and resistance management.

In addition to providing excellent control of susceptible and group 1 resistant wild oats and green foxtail, K2 also controls a wide range of tough broadleaf weeds including wild buckwheat, redroot pigweed, chickweed, kochia, wild mustard, stinkweed, and hempnettle. It also suppresses hard to kill weeds such as Canada thistle, cleavers, scentless chamomile, toadflax, round-leaved mallow, stork's bill, and sow thistle. Application window of K2 extends to the 6-leaf stage of the crop.

Independent Retailers will be able to purchase K2 from Van Waters & Rogers Ltd. K2(TM) is a trademark of E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company. DuPont Canada Inc. is a licensee. Toss-N-GoĻ is a registered trademark of DuPont Canada Inc.
