IFIN Bulletin # 147: Letters from Dr. Teran Gall, California
Dental Association
Dear All,
Dr. Teran Gall is the Special Events Director of the California
Dental Association. The following letters highlight the type of
attitude Gall and other leading proponents take towards those who
have concerns about fluoridation. Gall's letters fit the tone of
Michael Easley's (1999) views of opponents, i.e.:
"Like parasites, opponents steal undeserved credibility
just by sharing the stage with respected scientists who are there
to defend fluoridation."
This inflated view of themselves, contrasts sharply with their
own ability to construct a rational, scientifically based defense
of their position.
Paul Connett.

Dear Harvey (?):
I have read your e-mail to Mike Easley and found it to be fascinating,
humorous, pathetic, and even pitiful. I'm sorry that life in this
world is so threatening to you. I'm also sorry that you feel so
many entities are ganging up on you and your followers in an attempt
to destroy you and the entire country.
It's funny how you guys get a hold of a few scientific words and
phrases and then pass them along as if you knew what you're talking
about. It's funny that you believe the dogma of so many crackpots.
It's probably a little pathetic too!
Isn't it amazing that the same agencies and organizations that you
assail are also responsible for providing the research and policies
that place Americans with one of the longest life expectancies and
highest health standards in the world?
Isn't it amazing that these same agencies and organizations discover
and support ongoing cures for disease?
If the "scientists"(?) and "experts"(?) you
quote are so damn good then why have they not been recruited by
leading universities and agencies like CDC and NIH to further their
theories and studies?
Why can't you guys turn your energies toward something more beneficial
like enhancing K-12 education? Or greenhouse gases? Or tobacco eradication?
Or maybe even good ol' community service!
By the way, did you know that the phosphoric acid used as a food
additive (especially in sodas) also is derived from the same phosphate
fertilizer industry that produces fluosilicic acid? And I bet you
drink sodas don't you? Now don't lie...
Now, don't give me this crap about collusion and conspiracy. If
that's where you're coming from then there are several reputable
psychiatric hospitals to help you with that dysfunction.
Former San Diego Mayor and now talk show host Roger Hedgecock put
it so succinctly to one of your so-called "experts" David
Kennedy back in 1998. Kennedy had called in to issue his views about
fluoridation on the show. Roger eventually got tired of his crap
and called him "a proselytizing fanatic" who would rather
leave his patient with his mouth dangling open to discuss his irrational
views on fluoridation. Hedgecock also asked Kennedy a very basic
question which Kennedy refused to answer and eventually did and
conceded that Hedgecock was right. Kennedy's no expert---he's confused
at best!
As far as Mullenix, Connett, Hirzy, and Glasser go---in my opinion
they're opined fanatics without a stitch of expertise and who use
their degrees in an attempt to lend expertise to their stories/fantasies.
Your buddy Jeff Green was seen by me and others in 1998 at a bar
in San Diego drinking red wine. For a "leader" of your
cause to be found doing this was shocking to me. He's someone who
talks about the use of fluoride containing pesticides for crops.
It's well-known that those are used to control insects in the wine
industry. Seems a little contradictory to me... Maybe his judgement
has been compromised by the effects of this fluoride? Inquiring
minds want to know...
You guys are done in this battle. We will prevail (and we are right
now)!
I will continue to mourn for all of your misguided views and ways.
Drink a soda and think of that nutritional phosphoric acid in it.

Dear Teran Gall,
I am appalled at the lack of education you show in discussing this
scientific matter. You should look on the back of your toothpaste
to see the poison control label or go to your local fire dept. and
ask for the haz-mat plans for guide #154 hydrofluorosilic acid to
see how they handle this poison in an accident. Furthermore, Dr.
Hirzy and 1,500 EPA scientists, engineers, and lawyers are not all
crackpots. As for myself I come from a family that consists of surgeons,
chemists, genetic research PhD's, Harvard MBA's, and civil, mechanical,
chemical and electrical engineers and teachers. I have a B.S. degree
with a chemistry background and own a pesticide license in the state
of Maryland.
You know that you dentists are all alike. You cannot debate on a
scientific basis, instead you resort to name calling (see http://www.fluorideoralhealth.org/papers/adaweb04.pdf).
How big of you!!! Your last name sums you up perfectly, what gall.
Sincerely Yours,
Bernard W. Miltenberger
P.S - You know that one of the scientific principles is that science
should not be based on authority. I could care less about your precious
so called authorities. These authorizes (sic) will not even answer
the 40 odd questions that the House Science Subcommittee sent to
them on fluoridation (see letter). How
about that for pathetic. Your remarks about Jeff Green are stupid,
and your temperament on this subject shows that maybe the fluoride
is effecting you mentally as well!!!

Bernard:
You haven't a clue! You're clearly a cultist disciple of some branch
of the Flat Earth Society regurgitating guano fed to you by the
"crackpots". Hirzy's views do not represent 1500 EPA employees.
Prove it in writing with all 1500 signatures and a statement of
acclamation!
Check out the haz-mat and EPA statements on chlorine, lye, sulfuric
acid, diatomaceous earth, and about 20 other chemicals used in water
treatment you buffoon.
Do you have an advanced science degree? A B.S. in chemistry is not
much to tout. On top of that you're pumping chemicals into the ground
and atmosphere through your pesticide business that surely will
effect animals and humans. Is that a responsible humanistic endeavor?
Sounds a bit like the kettle calling the pot black, doesn't it?
Have you read the EPA, Haz-Mat (MSDS) and OSHA and NIOSH warnings
on those chemicals? Do you even understand any of this issue?
You are entitled to your opinion no matter how off base it may be
though.
As far as my name goes let me clarify your myopia with the following:
I was raised in Long Beach, CA which is fluoridated. My name rhymes
with "ball" of which I have two well-functioning ones
that produced two healthy children who are A students and not hyperactive,
not suffering from osteosarcoma, nor mentally deficient. My balls
continue to function quite well in spite of my fluoride consumption,
thank you very much! Your camp doesn't have a clue!
Are you foaming at the mouth yet? Is your blood pressure rising?
You're fanatics, zealots and afraid of your own shadow. You worship
Nostradamus, no doubt! I'm not name calling but rather providing
you with important insight as to what you've become by buying into
this conspiracy theory about fluoridation.
The House Subcommittee is nothing more than an inquiry and will
end with just that. Fluoridation will continue with the chemicals
currently being used.
Remember, we will prevail! We are prevailing!
Teran "with a lot of" Gall and proud of it! |
