3. HAZARDOUS IDENTIFICATIONS: EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
White solid. Odorless. May cause slight eye irritation. This product is highly toxic to aquatic invertebrates and possibly to fish. Toxic, irritating fumes may be formed if product is involved in fire.

POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS (See Section 11 for toxicological data.)
EYE: Product is a solid. Direct eye contact may cause irritation or corneal injury due to mechanical action.
SKIN CONTACT: Prolonged exposure may cause slight skin irritation. Repeated contact may cause drying or flaking of skin.
SKIN ABSORPTION: A single prolonged exposure is not likely to result in the material being absorbed through the skin in harmful amounts. The dermal LD50 for this product has not been determined. For hexaflumuron, this product's active ingredient, the LD50 for skin absorption in rats is greater than 2000 mg/kg.
INGESTION: Single dose oral LD50 has not been determined for this product; however, the single dose oral toxicity is considered to be low based on the product's composition. Because the product is a solid, normal handling operations are not likely to result in ingestion. For the active ingredient, the oral LD50 in rats is greater than 5000 mg/kg.
INHALATION: Product is a solid. Normal handling operations are not likely to result in inhalation.
SYSTEMIC (OTHER TARGET ORGAN) EFFECTS: None expected.
CANCER INFORMATION: Hexaflumuron, the active ingredient in this product, did not cause cancer in long-term animal studies.
TERATOLOGY (BIRTH DEFECTS): Hexaflumuron, the active ingredient in this product, did not cause birth defects in laboratory animals.
REPRODUCTIVE EFFECTS: Hexaflumuron, the active ingredient in this product, did not interfere with reproduction in animal studies,
4. FIRST AID:
EYES: Flush eyes with plenty of water; mechanical effects only.
SKIN: Wash in flowing water after contact with product.
INGESTION: Induce vomiting if large amounts are ingested. Consult medical personnel.
INHALATION: Remove patient to fresh air if effects occur. Consult a physician.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: No specific antidote. Supportive care. Treatment based on judgment of the physician in response to reactions of the patient.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES: (See Section 15 for Regulatory Information) ACTION TO TAKE FOR SPILLS: Sweep up wastes and place into suitable container for disposal.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE: SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORAGE: Store in original container in a dry storage area. Do not store above 122F (50C) for extended periods of time. Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal. Do not tamper with product.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION: These precautions are suggested for conditions with a high potential for exposure. If handling procedures are such that there is only a low potential for exposure, less protection may be needed. Emergency conditions may require additional precautions.
EXPOSURE GUIDELINE: None established. Product is a solid.
VENTILATION: When appropriate, such as during manufacturing, provide general and/or local exhaust ventilation to prevent exposure to active ingredient.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Atmospheric levels should be maintained below the exposure guideline. When respiratory protection is required for certain operations, such as during manufacturing, use a NIOSH approved air-purifying respirator. SKIN PROTECTION: Clean body-covering clothing should normally be sufficient. During manufacturing, when prolonged or frequently repeated contact could occur with bait, use impervious gloves.
EYE PROTECTION: Wear safety glasses during manufacturing.

MUTAGENICITY: Animal mutagenicity studies were negative. In-vitro mutagenicity studies were negative in some cases and positive in other cases.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS: This product is highly toxic to aquatic invertebrates and possibly to fish. Bait stations used in above ground applications should not be placed in depressions or low areas that may be flooded. They should not be used where the bait or its hexaflumuron contents could be washed out of the bait station into water at or near the surface of the ground.
13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS: DISPOSAL METHOD: Dispose of waste by incineration in accordance with all local, state, and federal requirements for disposal. Used devices that are damaged or no longer needed should be stored until they can be collected by a representative of Dow AgroSciences for disposal or recycling.
