– Comment from one Commissioner: “… In looking into this… we realize that people have access to fluoride through toothpaste, mouthwash, dentist… the other issue is a cost issue… we will save over $40,000. I think everybody wins…”

Notes:

— According to the CDC’s 1992 Fluoridation Census, Mount Clemens has been fluoridated since March 1951.

— 2009 population of Mount Clemens was 16,764
