Pre-Snow Road Preps
Early this morning Kentucky Transportation workers pre-treated many roads to help keep snow from sticking. Tonight salt trucks are working on the busiest roads first to help keep drivers safe as the temperatures drop and rain and melted snow begin freezing on area road-ways.

Tonight salt trucks are working on the busiest roads first to help keep drivers safe as the temperatures drop and rain and melted snow begin freezing on area road-ways.
Crews say they're ready for whatever comes our way.
"But we are prepared, we've got close to 20,000 tons of salt, 95,000 gallons of calcium fluoride, of course we can make brine at each county barn on site," says Keirsten Jaggers from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Officials say they'll begin salting lesser traveled roads after hitting the interstates and highways.
They caution everyone to drive safe and remember to keep safe distances away from salt trucks.
